In this show, Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum will display approximately 150 works by Matisse on loan from the Pompidou Center in France.

The exhibits on view range from paintings, drawings and sketches, sculptures, prints to cut-outs, dated from the early to last years of his career.

Among the show’s star attractions are drawings and other pieces related to the Rosary Chapel in Vence, southern France, said to be the greatest masterpiece of his later years.
