    Koishikawa Korakuen Garden

Koishikawa Korakuen, a Japanese garden located in the middle of Tokyo, is among the most popular places to view fall foliage.

The garden will host special events to celebrate the autumn season.

    About Koishikawa Korakuen

Koishikawa Korakuen is a Japanese garden originally created during the early Edo period, by Yorifusa, the founder of the Mito Tokugawa family in 1629 and completed by his successor Mitsukuni.

It is a stroll garden landscaped to represent lakes, mountains, a river and fields.

    480 momiji (Japanese maple) trees

What is nice about Koishikawa Korakuen is visiting the garden feels like taking a stroll in a Japanese forest, away from the bustle. The garden is an excellent place to taken in the autumn colours – as many as 480 Japanese maple trees (“momiji”) turn rich orange and red.
