To the delight of matcha lovers, a choice of gelato, deep flavoured with natural matcha, is now available in Asakusa. Opened in January 2016, the gelato shop is a joint business of Nanaya, a confectionery factory using matcha produced in Shizuoka, and Suzukiya, tea shop based in Asakusa. Check out “Matcha Gelato Premium No.7”, a pure taste sensation which they boast as the world’s deepest matcha flavoured gelato.
