Sagamiko Resort Pleasure Forest

Sagamiko Resort Pleasure Forest, an open-air leisure complex located at the foot of a hill adjacent to Sagami-ko Lake (or Lake Sagami), is a nice getaway, about an hour’s drive from Tokyo.

The site holds its annual “Sagamiko Illumillion“, one of the largest festivals of light in the Kanto region, with 6 million LED lights decorating the hill.

Highlights of this season’s “Sagamiko Illumillion”

In 2022, “Sagamiko Illumillion” won the title of one of the Three Major Illuminations in Kanto, the region that covers Tokyo.

The famed light festival enchants visitors, offering outdoor illuminated experiences of strolling a magical world of light.

The star attraction of the 15th edition is a group of light installations entitled “Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Earth Symphony Illumination 映画ドラえもん のび太の地球交響楽（ちきゅうシンフォニー) イルミネーション” featuring the latest version of “Doraemon the movie” series to hit the screen on 1 March 2024.

The cherry on the cake, the visitors can also enjoy nocturnal rides and attractions like the Ferris wheel in a dreamy atmosphere.

◆Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Earth Symphony Illumination

The special feature for this season is the “Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Earth Symphony Illumination” set at the top of the hill, to reach by the “Rainbow Lift.”

The characters from the movie shine brightly and joyfully in harmony with the background music.

■ Rainbow Lift

The 250-meter-long “Rainbow Lift” will take spectators to the special illumination featuring the upcoming “Nobita’s Earth Symphony” characters.

The rainbow is likened to a musical score, with musical notes and treble clefs.
