An immersive art show came to open in central Tokyo, inviting visitors to virtual exploration of Post-Impressionist paintings.
Highlights of Immersive Museum 2023: Post-Impressionism
Following last year’s highlight on Impressionism, the 2023 version of “Immersive Museum” features Post-impressionism.
“Immersive Museum” is a work of virtual art video, which is projected to the walls and the floor to create dynamic effects, making a virtual art gallery.
On view are approximately 80 paintings by Post-impressionist artists from Van Gogh, Gauguin and Seurat to Cézanne.
There is no narration in this video and therefore no need to worry about translation.

AI Van Gogh to draw your portrait
A cherry on the cake, an “AI Van Gogh” (on the corridor just outside the exhibition hall) draws portraits of visitors, imitating Van Gogh’s brush strokes and techniques.
