Cartier, Crystallization of Time
2 October – 16 December 2019
The National Art Center, Tokyo
The National Art Center, Tokyo, is hosting a superb exhibition of Cartier’s high jewellery presented as an art form.
“Cartier, Crystallization of Time” exhibition
This Cartier show features, for the first time in the world, the house’s contemporary works since the 1970s.
To capture the innovative design and vision of the luxury jewelry maker, more than 300 dazzling pieces of watches and jewels are included in the show. They were lent by the Cartier Collection and private collections around the world that are usually not shown to the public.
Cartier’s “Mystery Clocks” are on display in the opening part as the most symbolic of this show’s theme: “Crystallization of Time”.
The exhibition’s installation was designed by Hiroshi Sugimoto and Tomoyuki Sakakida (New Materials Research Institute).
“Cartier, Crystallization of Time” at The National Art Center, Tokyo, from 2 October to 16 December 2019.
