An anonymous artist based in the UK, Banksy is one of the most celebrated talents in the world.
His paintings, drawings and graffiti art bear powerful messages, full of satire but are also poetic.
His graffiti art, mysteriously appearing on the streets, walls and bridges, continues to cause sensations around the world.
His drawings and paintings have had phenomenal success, whether his iconic “Girl with Balloon” shredded after an auction or his 2009 satirical painting “Devolved Parliament” depicting the British House of Commons with chimpanzees.

This exhibition “Banksy – Genius or vandal?” will invite the visitors to delve into the world of Banksy Art.
After mobilizing more than a million in audience numbers since 2018 – in Moscow, Madrid, Lisbon and Hong Kong – the world-touring exhibition is now coming to Japan.
Highlights of the Banksy exhibition
This exhibition “Banksy – Genius or vandal” will bring together more than 70 works by Banksy such as paintings, prints and objects, mainly on loan from private collections.
Those works include Banksy’s rats, “Love is in The Air” and “Girl with Balloon”, which are also well known to the Japanese audiences.
A multi-media projection will be added to shed light on the talents of the celebrated artist known as Banksy.
