• Mika Ninagawa × Sumida Aquarium
    Jellyfish Kaleidoscope Tunnel

    9 September – 27 December 2015

Have you ever floated with translucent jellyfish in the ocean? The Sumida Aquarium located at Tokyo Skytree Town offers you the chance to live this fantastic experience without any risk of stings and above all, in the most artistic way possible! At the aquarium’s “Jellyfish Kaleidoscope Tunnel” made of mirrored panels, surprising forms of jellyfish are reflected as if they were floating among the projected images prepared by Mika Ninagawa, photographer and filmmaker, in the alternation of day and night. The daytime version is composed of photographs and videos of tropical flowers, the sky and the sea, while the night version uses images of Tokyo such as highways, Shibuya Crossing and Tokyo Skytree. Get ready for Nina-Mika’s dazzling world of magnificent colours as you pass through the kaleidoscope.
