60th Anniversary Sanrio Exhibition
The Beginning of Kawaii

The character business giant Sanrio has played a major role in the dissemination of Japanese pop culture centering on all things “kawaii”, a Japanese adjective meaning cute, pretty, lovable or adorable.

The company is best known for Hello Kitty, the eternal kawaii idol (though its more recent hits include – not so “kawaii” – Aggretsuko and Gudetama).

Tokyo City View, the observatory and exhibition gallery located in the Mori Art Museum complex of Roppongi Hills, will soon host a charming show to trace Sanrio’s 60 years of history.
