In some countries goldfish marks spring’s start. In Japan it is a symbol of summer. It feels refreshing to see these pretty creatures swimming in the water.

This summer, the “Edo-rium”, a 100-meter long goldfish display area at Sumida Aquarium, will be turned into “Tokyo Goldfish Wonderland”. A variety of goldfish in different shades and forms swim in the aquarium. The corridor will be lit with some 150 pretty-shaped goldfish lanterns. Also, elaborately crafted goldfish lollipops will be exhibited.
