Yogafest Yokohama 2017

With some 50,000 participants, Yogafest Yokohama is one of the largest annual yoga events held in the greater metropolitan area. Yogafest offers an excellent opportunity of doing yoga for three days at Yokohama, a port city 30 minutes away from Tokyo by train.
There are a good variety of lessons fit for intermediate and advanced yogis, including yoga professionals. Yet above all, yogafest is great for beginners and all those who just like to relax or to shop nice yoga attires!
◆ Meet with most popular teachers at Yogafest Yokohama
Meet with many popular Japanese yoga teachers, including Ken Harakuma, Juri Edwards, chama, SHIHO (fashion model) and Ritsuko Tanaka (TV personality). Great teachers also come together from different parts of the world, such as Duncan Wong, Tedd Surman, Leza Lowitz and Gloria Latham!
◆Yogafest Yokohama: yoga sessions and zones
You may take as many lessons as you like, free or paid. More than half the classes are free of charge. The venue is divided into three zones:
At “Park Area” (free admission), join for free open-air yoga lessons on the lawn with a superb view of Tokyo Bay. You can also opt for relax mode, simply lying down on the grass or picnicking with kids.
Also free admission, “Showcase Area” is an indoor mall with a variety of stands run by Japanese and international brands. Find your yoga wear and gear, food and superfood, and other items to help practice your passion.
Finally, “Academic Area” (paid area) is for those who wish to further deepen the practice. A variety of lessons will be led by renowned yoga teachers to cater to the needs of the beginners, advanced students, yoga teachers and professionals.
