Ueno koen, with the cluster of museums, is one of the top destinations in Tokyo for overseas visitors.
The park is a pleasant place to take a stroll not only during the cherry blossom season in spring, but also in summer when the annual Ueno Natsu Matsuri takes place over a period of one month.
Every day during this summer festival, Ueno Park will host colourful events, such as antiques market, ice sculpture, floating lanterns, live stage of music and performances.
The popular festival parade will take place on Saturday 20 July this year.
