    The art space, run by the cosmetic giant Shiseido since 1919, occupies the high-ceiling first basement floor of the fashionable Shiseido building in Ginza, which houses Shiseido Parlour (salon de thé, fancy restaurants and sweet shops) and the company office. The Gallery is non-profit and organizes free exhibitions for the purpose to “create and discover new beauty”. The Shiseido Gallery showcases works of contemporary artists, who often become leading figures in the Japanese art scene.
