    Come and visit Roppongi Hills to experience summer in Tokyo, through art, popular TV characters, morning Tai-chi, Bon-odori dance, observation of an evening sky and other fun programmes. Here are event examples.

    ◆ TV Asahi & Roppongi Hills Summer Festival 2017

    Under the banner “Summer Station”, a variety of events, many tied up with popular TV shows, will take place around TV Asahi Station. At 66 Plaza of Roppongi Hills, a group of real life-size Doraemon, each holding a secret tool, will be on display.
    【Dates】 15 July – 27 August
    【Hours】 10 am – 11 pm (*hours vary according to events)
    【Price】 One-day pass: Adults (junior high school students and older) 2,000 yen: children (4 years old and above, primary school students) 1,000 yen (tax included)
    *there will be some free admission areas

    ◆ Roppongi Hills Bon dancing 2017

    Join and dance in a circle around the kagura tower. The Bon Odori will be held at Roppongi Hills Arena for the 15th time this year. Dance steps are easy to follow and lots of fun.
    【Dates】 25 – 27 August (planned)
    25 (Fri): Festival eve with stalls and stage, without dancing:. 5 – 9 pm
    26 – 27 (Sat & Sun): 3 – 9 pm (Bon dancing 5 – 8 pm)
    【Place】 Roppongi Hills Arena (also Keyaki-zaka Street on 26 & 27 Aug)
    【Price】 Free

    ◆ Roppongi Hills Morning Tai Chi

    Rise and shine. Move elegantly in the martial art exercise. Beginners are welcome.
    【Dates】 July: 22 (Sat), 23 (Sun) and 29 (Sat); August: 5 (Sat) and 6 (Sun)
    【Time】 7:30 – 8:15 am (about 45 minutes)
    【Place】 66 Plaza
    【Price】 Free
    *to be cancelled in case of rain

    ◆ Kids Workshop 2017

    Approximately 350 lessons will be offered for hands-on experiences for children, including engineering and state-of-the-art technology.
    【Dates】 15 July – 27 August
    【Application】Pre-registration starts on 24 June.
    *Some programmes do not require pre-registration.

    ◆ Sunshower: Contemporary Art from Southeast Asia 1980s to Now

    The largest exhibition ever held in Japan to present contemporary art from Southeast Asia. Simultaneously held at Mori Art Museum in Roppongi Hills and the National Art Center, Tokyo (NACT) in Roppongi.
    【Dates】 5 July – 23 October *Open every day
    【Hours】 10 am – 10 pm (until 5 pm on Tuesdays; last admission 30 min before closing)
    【Place】 Mori Art Museum (53rd floor Mori Tower, Roppongi Hills)
    *At the National Art Center (Hall 2E and 2): 10 am – 6 pm (until 9 pm on Fridays and Saturdays; last admission 30 min before closing); closed on Tuesdays.

    ◆ Tokyo City View Observation Deck at Roppongi Hills

    Tokyo City View (TCV) offers a breath-taking view that unfolds below the 52th floor. From its rooftop Sky Deck, watch Tokyo’s summer sky.

    【Price】 2,300 yen (prior application on TCV’s website necessary)

    Yukata DE free! Sky Deck
    【Dates】 15 July – 27 August
    【Price】 Admission to the rooftop Sky Deck (500 yen) will be free for the visitors wearing yukata
    *Admission fee to Observation Deck needs to be paid (general 1,800 yen; high school & university students 1,200 yen; 4 years old and above, up to junior high school 600 yen; seniors 1,500 yen)

    Sky Deck open until 10 pm
    【Dates】 15 July – 27 August
    【Hours】 The rooftop Sky Deck remains open until 10 pm, 2 hours longer than usual (last admission 9:30 pm)
    *to be closed in bad weather

    Roppongi Astronomical Club
    Observe a starry sky from the helipad on the Sky Deck, which is usually closed to the public. With commentaries made by astronomical experts (in Japanese)
    【Dates】 7 July (Fri); 25 (Fri) & 28 (Mon) August
    * Cancellation in case of rain or cloudy weather
    【Price】 Free
    *admission fee to Observation Deck and Sky Deck extra (general: a total of 2,300 yen).
