Roppongi Hills SPRING 2016
Mid-March – mid-April 2016
For cherry blossoms 2016, Roppongi Hills lines up events and gourmet foods perfect for o-hanami (cherry blossom viewing picnic) in the middle of the metropolis.
As usual, cherry trees in the Mohri Garden and on Roppongi Sakurazaka Street will be lit up in the evening. The magical urban atmosphere will certainly fascinate many passers-by.
For the popular “Roppongi Hills Spring Festival” (1 -3 April), the Arena will be a perfect set-up for o-hanami events, decorated with cherry trees and red Japanese umbrellas. Take delicious food from “gourmet food stalls”. Listen to the vibrant music of Japanese traditional music instruments played by young talented artists. Join in craft workshops. And not to miss, the roof-top garden of the Keyakiza complex, usually closed to the public, will also be opened!
For even more pleasure, how about visiting Tokyo City View, the observatory located on the 52nd floor? There you can have a superb bird’s view of Tokyo, tinted in soft pink of cherry blossoms. For the gourmets, the complex’s restaurants and cafés offer a variety of special spring menu using strawberries, as well as sakura-flavoured sweets.
