Japan Grand Prix International Orchid and Flower Show 2020

The annual International Orchid and Flower Show at Tokyo Dome will mark its 30th anniversary this year “in Full Bloom”.
This February, venture into the orchid show for an early o-hanami – meaning “flower viewing” (usually of cherry blossoms) – to celebrate the orchid in all its shapes and sizes, colours and aromas.
Highlights of the Orchid and Flower Show 2020

◆ Central display “Ouran”
A towering pinnacle of orchids, entitled Ouran (a coined word meaning “orchid cherry blossoms”), is the center-piece of the 2020 show.
This symbolic “cheery tree” will be made of 1 million dancing lady orchid blossoms. The laureates of this year’s Japan Grand Prix will feature prominently here.
◆ Miracle of the Cattleya Dominiana
As a special display to celebrate the 30th anniversary, a variety of cattleyas, both wild species and hybrids, including the Cattleya Dominiana, will be on display.
◆ Treasures of orchids
Another special feature of the 30th edition, Oriental, Japanese and Western orchids of the highest-grade will be showcased.
◆ Fantastic succulents
For a little break, meet with lovely succulent plants in unique shapes.
◆ Japan Grand Prix
The Japan Grand Prix is one of the world’s largest competitions for the orchid growers, consisting of five categories.
◆ Botanical Market
With some 200 flower and plant shops.
◆ Special Nights
Join the special orchid evenings with a flower cocktail.
