The skyscrapers of Shinjuku, Shibuya’s intersection, Rainbow Bridge in Odaiba and Akihabara crowded with people, highways and subway lines passing through them…

This exhibition presents “TOKYO” as cutting-edge art entertainment. Nine symbolic places in the Japanese capital are highlighted with large-scale models and the latest technologies. Produced by NAKED Inc. (the creative company led by Ryotaro Muramatsu), the exhibition takes place at Gallery AaMo, a new contemporary art space opened in April 2017 at Tokyo Dome City.

This summer, experience Tokyo like never before.

    ◆ Amusement and entertainment
The exhibition features nine symbolic places of “TOKYO”: Shinjuku, Shibuya, Odaiba, Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Dome, Akihabara, Tokyo Station, Tokyo National Museum and “Yanesen” (the neighbourhood close to Ueno, encompassing Yanaka, Nezu and Sendagi). These places will emerge dynamically and artistically in front of you, thanks to some 250 models, 3D images, lights and videos projected by some 100 projectors.

    ◆ A thrilling, never-seen Tokyo
At “Tokyo Tower” (reduced to 4.3 meters in height), go to the observatory to catch a view of a jumbo jet passing in front of you, and below, the city of Tokyo that changes faces ever vividly. In “Shibuya”, draw “digital graffiti” freely with your fingers on the wall. At “Akihabara”, find a gacha-gacha (toy vending machine) to yield rare items.

Digital fireworks, symbolizing the summer in Japan, will be launched in the sky. Sounds and smokes will appear from the walls and alleys as you go by. The entire city will get animated.
