Extraordinary 2020 Exhibition
(“Futsu-janai-2020-ten by Mitsui Fudosan”)8 – 26 August 2018
Tokyo Midtown Hibiya
Have you ever wondered how “extra-ordinary” the Olympic and Paralympic athletes are?
Here comes an “extraordinary” sports exhibition, to challenge and feel their “extraordinariness” in “extraordinary” ways!
This happens in the middle of Tokyo, the host city of the 2020 Summer Games. And it’s free!
Challenge 19 sports included in the 2020 Tokyo Games
This interactive exhibition will collect 19 sports (t.b.c.) from the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Visitors can try them in unusual ways, just for instance:
– “Excalibur’s back strength test”, to lift the sword weighing more than 300 kg to feel athletes’ back strength
– “Volleyball vending machine”, to get a chilled Coca-Cola by pushing a button, 3.48 meters (11.4 feet) high. It is as high as volleyball players are able to jump!
Visit the “Extraordinary” stadium
Hibiya Step Hiroba, an open-space of Tokyo Midtown Hibiya, will be transformed into an extraordinary stadium of these extraordinary sports displays for 19 days.
The venue is conspicuous with an athlete-shaped giant balloon. It is located near Hibiya Park and the Peninsula Tokyo Hotel.
