  • Cinco de Mayo 2017

    4 – 6 May 2017

Welcome to “Cinco de Mayo” (the 5th of May in Spanish), a most joyful international festival held in Tokyo. This colourful event, originating from Mexico and the United States, will bring to you music, dance and soul food from Latin America, the Caribbean and neighbouring countries.

This year, admission to Cinco de Mayo, celebrating its fifth edition, will be free! The festival, therefore, is even more accessible for everyone, and not just for party-goers. Like to spend a relaxing weekend in Tokyo? Join the club. And besides, the bands will play more danceable numbers than the previous years.

    ◆ Entertainment

A variety of music and dance (samba, salsa, rock, soul and New Orleans jazz, for a start) will be staged by international artists and most talented groups, such as: ALEXANDER LP & Puros Abernos, Truly Blessed, Orquesta Internacional La Clave, MOLO, Richard D’ Cabrera & Cubajapanensemble, and PACAF Band.

    ◆ Food and drink

Delicious international snacks, prepared by chefs and their teams of renowned restaurants in Tokyo, will await you. Sample the specialties from northern, central and South American countries (US, Canada, Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Chile, Jamaica, Colombia and more), such as burrito, cheese pastel, empanada, Cuban sandwich, anticuchos …

For beverages, beer and wine, tropical cocktails (Margarita, mojito, pisco sour, caipirinha …) as well as a variety of non-alcoholic drinks will be available.

    Viva Cinco de Mayo!
