  • The Yebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions 2016

    11 – 20 February 2016

The Yebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions marks the eighth anniversary this year. The theme of the 2016 edition is “Garden in Movement”, a concept formulated by the French garden designer and philosopher, Gilles Clément.

For him, garden is a space of art, to be created by not just human beings but also the nature. By analogy, modern society may be considered as a garden which transforms day by day.

The festival invites you to take a walk through a “garden in movement”, via video and media art, shedding light on the “nature” that surrounds humans today, such as network society and urban space.
