Welcome aboard to Tokyo City View. At 250 meters high above sea level, find Studio Ghibli’s trajectory over 30 years in one swoop, through the angle of advertisement above all. Proposals, posters, flyers, documents and objects, organized into four sections, will show vividly how the famous animation studio has brought out its pet projects to the world.

    • Section 1) Ghibli Expo Unpublished materials reveal Ghibli’s advertisement history full of trial and error.
    • Section 2) Studio Ghibli’s Airplane Exhibit The studio’s first-ever exhibit about “yearning for the sky” – a recurrent theme of Ghibli anime – is set against the majestic view from the observation deck, high above the sky.
    • Section 3) The Red Turtle Exhibit Discover the world of Ghibli’s latest animation film, directed by Michaël Dudok de Wit and co-produced with Wild Bunch (premiered in the 2016 Cannes Film Festival; to be screened from 17 September in Japan)
    • Section 4) Gift shop Exclusive items and Ghibli animation goods are on sale – perfect summer souvenirs!
